Temprana Therapy, well-known and recognized in Scandinavia

already in Poland and Greece!

Temprana is an individual therapy for a patient, developed, supervised and run by a qualified therapist. In Temprana therapy, a key role is cooperation between the therapist and patient’s relatives. In the case of severe neurological diseases, sometimes one or two treatments a week are not enough. An intensive rehabilitation requires even every day treatments for 1-3 hours. In such situations relatives, e.g. parents of a sick child are irreplaceable.

The first element of therapeutic process is an initial visit (about 2.5 hours). The therapist gathers information about the patient’s condition, requests the relatives to present complete results of medical examinations. The remaining time is used for facial and foot reflexology. It allows the therapist to give reflexological diagnosis. He indicates receptors responsible for changes causing diseases. Please note that in Lone Sorensen’s method, we use techniques affecting both causes and symptoms of diseases.

After the first visit, it is time to develop a plan of long-lasting, “tailored-made” therapy. Each case is treated very individually. Then, during a three-day meeting (about 7 hours a day), the therapist trains relatives in facial, foot and hand reflexology and other techniques used in Temprana.

They receive the best “tools” to use in a given case, and they can use them appropriately. It is recommended that more than one person should participate in courses, for instance parents of the sick child, but also other relatives. The more people are involved, the most effective the therapy. Relatives receive legible, colourful materials. After the training, they can immediately start their work.

Obviously, this is not the end of cooperation with the Temprana therapist. 2-3 times a year we have further consultations to assess progress in therapy and to introduce required corrections. Relatives are encouraged to stay in close touch with the therapist by phone and e-mail.

From 23 to 25 September 2011, Lone Sorensen organizes International Kids Therapy Conference in Barcelona. Meetings with experts in different forms of therapies are planned, as well as workshops for parents of handicapped children.

TEMPRANA OR FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY?

Relatives of patients, who think about participation in a facial reflexology course to help their loved ones, should be aware of a great difference between those types of training courses and Temprana Therapy. The basic difference is that Temprana comprises very advanced techniques, developed for the needs of individual therapy of a given person. They could differ significantly even in two patients suffering from the same disease. A facial reflexology course comprises general bases of this method. Moreover, techniques of work on feet, hands and many other important elements of Temprana.

Time is absolutely key. In Temprana, we can start work with the patient almost immediately, while training in facial reflexology lasts for several months. Even experienced reflexologists, if they are not Temprana therapists, are not qualified to prepare relatives of neurological patients to give treatments at home.
